Pawlett Sports & Playing Field Association Privacy Notice

We are a members club whose aim is to provide sporting, recreational and leisure facilities amongst members and sporting opponents.

The lawful basis for processing information used by us for our members and their guests is legitimate interest. We hold members and members guests details to facilitate membership and internal procedures and to comply with legal regulations regarding the Club Premises Certificate. You have a right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office if you think there is a problem with the way we handle your data.

Members - Information given to us is kept securely whilst membership is current and is disposed of securely after each new membership year starts. We will not share your information with any other body or private person unless you give us permission to do so We will not contact you other than to facilitate membership and internal procedures unless you have asked us to do so and given written permission tor this at the start of membership. You may withdraw permission for us to hold your personal information at any time by writing to the Club Secretary at Pawlett Pavilion, Gaunts Road, Pawlett, Bridgwater, Somerset, TA6 4SB. Withdrawing your information will be actioned at the next monthly committee meeting and will result in your information being securely disposed of and your membership terminated.

Guests - Member’s guests using club facilities such as the bar and social areas are required to ‘sign in’ before using facilities. This is a legal requirement of our Club Premises Certificate and whilst minimal details are required this information will be held for the current membership year after which it will be disposed of securely. We will not share your information with any other body or private person. If you are not willing to share your name and contact details you will be asked to leave the premises as staying without giving us the required information would compromise our Club Premises Certificate.

CCTV is in operation onsite both inside and outside the Pavilion and on the playing fields. Required signs are in place. CCTV is used solely to detect crime and provide evidence to police or insurance companies. Recordings are held and disposed of securely. We will not share your information with any other body or private person unless it is for the purpose of detecting crime or insurance claims.
